It’s interesting, I started the year with 2 clear and immediate projects – recording an album and my very first Fringe World season. It was a great way to start the year. We’re still working on the album and the Fringe shows went extremely well but by the start of February, I started feeling somewhat subdued and very restless!

I’m happy to report there ARE new things on the horizon…or perhaps old, overdue things! I’m finally heading to Melbourne for a string of shows that have been postponed a few times – I can’t wait to roam the city, spend an exorbitant amount on shoes and catch up with my sister! Yes – my younger sister, the most excellent bassist, Bonnie Aué – is joining me on the 3 shows I have in Melbourne. It’s been 2 years since we’ve played gigs together at Adelaide Fringe Festival and I’m thrilled!

So if you’re a Melbourne based person (or if you know anyone in Melbourne who may be interested!), I’ve got 3 shows at the gorgeous Paris Cat Jazz Club in March!

The first showcases original songs and Brazilian tunes and the show is called ‘Brazilian Jazz n Blues‘. There’s brand new songs in there and a few that are from my first 2 albums. This is on Friday the 25 March and the first time since 2019 I’ve played this music in Melbourne. I’m so excited!

Also if you’re a Norah Jones fan, I’m playing two ‘A Norah Jones Tribute‘ shows on Saturday 26 March (at The Paris Cat Jazz Club)! We will be playing all the Norah Jones hits as well as many tunes from her extensive catalogue. Please join us for the early or late show.

There are also shows happening in Perth – next week on Thursday 3 March, we’re performing ‘A Day In The Life – The Beatles‘ at the wonderful Duke of George in East Fremantle. If you love jazz, The Beatles, delicious food, table service and excellent company, come along!

Also – a good friend of mine named Ben Matthews has just released a mind-blowing album of jazz/fusion/original music with his band LiveWyre named From There To Here. I highly recommend checking it out!
